What Are We Looking For?

As part of RSE’s Chemical Dosing Business, Chem Resist has an exciting opportunity for a Semi-Skilled Fabricator to join our experienced team in Dewsbury. The role involves assisting with the fabrication of our bespoke large-scale plastic tanks and storage vessels, extending to pipework and other bespoke fabrications. You will be working with a market leader aiding in the manufacturing of innovative industry solutions.

Some Of Your Key Duties

  • Assist with the fabrication of components from customer samples and/or engineers drawings to customer specifications and maintain/repair existing pipework systems.
  • Work with components such as PVC, PP, PVDF and ABS pipework.
  • Work alongside Fabricators to assist with the laying out, assembly, fabrication, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of piping systems.
  • Support Fabricators with the inspection of materials and parts to ensure high standards are maintained.
  • Safe use of hand tools, machinery and other equipment.
  • Assist other disciplines when required.

We work with a number of industries including Energy, Chemicals, Food & Utilities. The vessels are manufactured at our Site in Dewsbury using a Thermoplastic Extrusion Welding technique and we will teach you how to weld in plastic, at our dedicated, onsite training school.

You will work with an established team who deliver solutions to market with a fantastic reputation, so your attention to quality and detail will be paramount throughout your work.

What Do You Need?

  • Experience using a variety of hand tools.
  • Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
  • Due to the large scale fabrications, the role is physically demanding and as such you will have a good level of physical fitness.
  • Working at height and confined space is normal practice.
  • You must have the ability to work as part of a team and use your own initiative.
  • A high level of attention to detail is key.
  • You must be quality driven with a proven ability to work to strict quality standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
