Semi-Skilled Mechanic / Service Engineer
Based at our Perth depot
Pay rate of £13.64 per hour
Shift pattern
Sunday - Thursday, 45hrs per week
34 days annual leave per annum
Looking for a hands-on engineering role where your skills keep the city moving?
We’re on the lookout for a Bus Service Engineer/Technician to join our close-knit team at Stagecoach Perth. You'll play a vital role in keeping our modern, low-emission fleet safe, reliable, and ready to serve the community.
Whether you’re servicing vehicles, diagnosing faults, or carrying out roadside repairs, this is a role where your expertise makes a visible difference every day.
What you’ll be doing:
- Maintaining and servicing buses to Stagecoach and DVSA safety standards
- Diagnosing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults using modern diagnostic tools
- Carrying out preventative and reactive maintenance, including roadside repairs
- Reporting defects and completing all work safely and in line with policies
- Collaborating with workshop colleagues and supporting junior team members

What we’re looking for:
- Previous hands-on experience servicing and repairing commercial vehicles, ideally in a bus, coach, truck, or HGV environment although we are open to different backgrounds
- Confident using diagnostic tools and service manuals
- A proactive, safety-first approach
- A team player with a strong work ethic and attention to detail
- A full UK driving licence
