Role: Semiconductor Engineer (Remote)
Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere)
Job Type: Contract
Payout: $66 - $130/hour
Role Overview:
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Semiconductor Devices & Microelectronics Expert to work on a contract basis. The role requires deep knowledge of semiconductor device physics, microelectronic circuit design, and fabrication processes. Candidates must demonstrate expertise in modeling, simulation, and optimization of semiconductor components for advanced applications.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop semiconductor devices, including transistors, diodes, and integrated circuits
- Conduct simulation and modeling using industry-standard tools such as TCAD, SPICE, or Verilog-A
- Optimize device performance for power efficiency, speed, and reliability in microelectronic systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate semiconductor components into larger systems
- Document design specifications, test results, and performance metrics for internal and external stakeholders

Required Skills & Qualifications:
- PhD or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, or related field
- Hands-on experience with semiconductor device fabrication or characterization
- Proficiency in TCAD, SPICE, or Verilog-A for simulation and modeling
- Knowledge of semiconductor physics, including PN junctions, MOSFET operation, and parasitic effects
- Experience with PCB design and integration of microelectronic components
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Ability to interpret complex technical specifications and translate them into actionable designs
