Seminar Assistant

We are looking for an organised, proactive, and confident administrator to join the General Practice Education Group (GPEG) as a Seminar Assistant. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality clinical teaching for University of Cambridge medical students, working as part of a supportive and collaborative team within the Department of Public Health and Primary Care.

GPEG organises and delivers General Practice seminar teaching and placements for more than 900 clinical students across the East of England. The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the GPEG administrative team, the seminar lead, Educators, and GP practices to help ensure that seminar teaching is well planned, well supported, and delivered effectively throughout the academic year.

The role will involve coordinating seminar arrangements, supporting the preparation and maintenance of teaching materials, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining accurate records, collating feedback, supporting facilitator peer review processes, and assisting with event planning, including the annual GP conference. The post holder will also provide flexible administrative support across the team during busy periods and contribute to the development of efficient, student-focused administrative processes.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
