Educato Recruitment SEN Teaching Assistant
Educato Recruitment are looking for a proactive and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people across a range of educational settings.
You'll be working with pupils who have a variety of additional needs, which may include Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory processing difficulties and social or emotional needs. Your role will be to provide consistent support, helping pupils access learning, develop their confidence and become as independent as possible.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be required to:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Assist children in accessing and engaging with their learning
- Support individual targets and personalised learning plans
- Help pupils manage sensory needs, routines and transitions
- Promote independence and develop practical life skills
- Support positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support implementation of EHCPs, behavior plans and therapeutic strategies

Previous experience working with SEN, ASD, communication needs, sensory needs or learning difficulties would be beneficial, although relevant experience in education, care or support roles will also be considered.
Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Experience supporting SEN is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Two suitable references
