The Opportunity
As a KS1 or KS2 Teacher, you'll take responsibility for delivering high-quality teaching while creating a classroom environment where every child feels supported and encouraged to succeed.
You'll plan lessons that capture pupils' interest while ensuring learning remains purposeful and aligned with the primary curriculum.
Depending on your experience and the needs of the school, you could be working across Years 1-6, providing you with an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience across the primary age range.
Your Responsibilities Could Include
- Planning and delivering creative lessons across the primary curriculum
- Creating learning activities appropriate to your year group
- Differentiating teaching for pupils with varying levels of ability
- Supporting children with SEND and additional learning needs
- Assessing pupil progress and identifying areas requiring further support
- Encouraging positive behaviour and establishing clear classroom routines
- Working alongside Teaching Assistants to maximise support within the classroom
- Helping pupils develop independence, confidence and resilience
- Building positive relationships with children, colleagues and families
- Contributing to planning, assessment and wider school activities

KS1 - Building Strong Foundations
For teachers working within Key Stage 1, you'll play an important role in helping younger pupils establish the skills and confidence they need for the rest of their education.
You'll support children's development across areas including phonics, reading, writing and early mathematics, while creating an engaging classroom where curiosity and enthusiasm are encouraged.
Patience, creativity and the ability to make learning accessible will be particularly important.
KS2 - Preparing Pupils for Their Next Chapter
Within Key Stage 2, you'll help pupils build upon their existing knowledge and become increasingly confident and independent learners.
You'll deliver engaging lessons across the curriculum, identify gaps in learning and provide the right level of challenge to help pupils make progress.
You'll also play an important role in preparing children academically and personally for their eventual transition into secondary education.

What We're Looking For
Ideally, You'll Have
- QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
- Experience within KS1 and/or KS2
- A strong understanding of the primary curriculum
- Confident classroom and behaviour management skills
- The ability to adapt teaching for different learning needs
- A positive approach to SEND and inclusive education
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A genuine enthusiasm for helping children learn and progress
Most importantly, we're looking for teachers who understand that successful primary education is about more than academic results. It's about helping children develop confidence, curiosity and a belief in what they can achieve.
