SEN Post 16 Teacher (Employability and Life Skills)

Location: South Leeds, West Yorkshire

Contract Type: Full Time, Long Term

Start Date: September 2026

Are you an experienced SEN Teacher passionate about preparing young adults with complex needs for adulthood, independent living, and employment?

Do you excel at delivering creative, practical pathways in Functional English, Maths, and essential Life and Employability skills?

Are you seeking a rewarding, long-term teaching role starting this September within a modern, purpose-built specialist setting in South Leeds?

If so, Randstad Education wants to hear from you. We are currently recruiting an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Post 16 Teacher to lead a vibrant class of young adults on a long-term basis starting September 2026.

About The Setting

Located in the LS11 area of South Leeds, this modern, purpose-built Post 16 hub forms part of an outstanding Specialist Inclusive Learning Centre (SILC). The provision is specifically designed to bridge the gap between school and adulthood for students aged 16 to 19 with a range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties (SLD), autism spectrum conditions (ASC), and physical or communication challenges. Operating with state-of-the-art facilities, independent living suites, and strong community links, the school focuses on personal autonomy, community participation, and vocational pathways. Supported by low pupil-to-staff ratios and an on-site multidisciplinary therapy team, they offer a safe, empowering environment where every student's journey to independence is celebrated.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
