SEN Teaching Assistant - Acton (Primary)
Location: Acton, London Borough of Ealing
Contract: Full-time, 5 days per week
Pay: £90-£110 per day (DOE)
Start: ASAP
A welcoming two-form entry primary school in West Acton is seeking committed SEN Teaching Assistants to join their supportive inclusion team. Role Overview
You will support pupils with a range of additional needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language needs. The role includes both 1:1 and small-group support across KS1 and KS2.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, following EHCP targets
- Assist with behaviour regulation, emotional support, and positive routines
- Work closely with class teachers, SENCO, and external specialists
- Support learning through adapted resources, modelling, and scaffolding
- Promote independence, confidence, and positive engagement
- Maintain accurate notes and contribute to SEND reviews where required
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting pupils with SEND (highly advantageous)
- Strong understanding of primary education and inclusive practice
- Ability to build positive, trusting relationships with pupils
- Confident behaviour management and a calm, consistent approach
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential
- GCSE Maths and English at Grade C or above
- Reliable, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
