SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary (Acton, Ealing)

Pay: £90-£110 per day
Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Start: ASAP

A supportive two-form entry primary school in West Acton is looking for enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistants to join their inclusion team. The school has a positive Ofsted rating, a warm community feel, and a highly supportive Senior Leadership Team who invest in staff development and consistent SEND practice.

The Role

You will work across KS1 and KS2 supporting pupils with a range of needs including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and speech & language difficulties. The role includes both 1:1 and small-group support.

Key Duties

  • Deliver tailored support based on EHCP targets
  • Assist pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour routines
  • Adapt learning resources and scaffold tasks
  • Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, and external specialists
  • Encourage independence, confidence, and positive engagement
  • Keep brief notes and contribute to SEND reviews when required

What You Need

  • Experience supporting pupils with SEND (advantageous but not essential)
  • Calm, consistent behaviour management
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • GCSE Maths & English at Grade C or above - essential
  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service - essential
  • Reliable, proactive, and committed to pupil progress
