Educato Recruitment SEN Teaching Assistant
Educato Recruitment is seeking a proactive and adaptable SEN Teaching Assistant to support children and young people across various educational settings.
You'll work with pupils who have a range of additional needs, such as Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, sensory processing difficulties, and social or emotional needs. Your role will involve providing consistent support, helping pupils access learning, develop their confidence, and become as independent as possible.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you may be required to:
- Support pupils on a 1:1 basis and within small groups
- Assist children in accessing and engaging with their learning
- Support individual targets and personalised learning plans
- Help pupils manage sensory needs, routines, and transitions
- Promote independence and develop practical life skills
- Support positive behavior and emotional regulation
- Support the implementation of EHCPs, behavior plans, and therapeutic strategies

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Calm, patient, and consistent
- Confident in supporting children with additional needs
- Able to build strong, positive relationships
- Comfortable adapting their approach to different pupils
- Committed to supporting children's learning and development
Previous experience working with SEN, ASD, communication needs, sensory needs, or learning difficulties would be beneficial, although relevant experience in education, care, or support roles will also be considered.

Requirements
- Previous experience working with children or young people
- Experience supporting SEN is desirable
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
- Right to work in the UK
- Two suitable references
