About Our School
Easthorpe School is an independent specialist provision serving children and young people in the East Midlands who live with their families, foster carers, or in residential children's homes.
The school first opened its doors to pupils in November 2022, and we are expanding the team to support the increase in pupil numbers within the Lower School provision for pupils aged 7-13.
Class sizes do not exceed seven pupils and are supported by a qualified class teacher and up to two teaching assistants.
Our school supports pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs (SEMH) and a range of diagnoses, which may include Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, Foetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder, Sensory Processing Disorder, attachment needs, and mild to moderate learning needs.
This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced teacher to help shape the growth and development of our new provision and enrich the lives of our pupils. It will give you the chance to further develop your skills as a class teacher while working within one of the most rewarding sectors of education. We provide high-quality education, adopting a thoughtful and informed approach for each pupil.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
