SEN Teacher: Mainstream School: Unqualified or Qualified

Full-Time Position

Interviews taking place now

Are you an experienced unqualified teacher, instructor, HLTA or education professional with strong SEN experience and a proven ability to lead a classroom? Are you confident managing a room independently and building positive relationships with parents? If so, we would love to hear from you.

We are working with a welcoming primary school in Brent seeking to appoint an experienced SEN Teacher/Class Leader from September 2026. QTS is not essential for this role; however, candidates must have relevant experience working with pupils with SEN and be confident taking responsibility for the leadership and management of a classroom.

The successful candidate will work closely with the SENCo and wider school team, delivering high-quality teaching and targeted support while contributing to the wider SEN provision across the school.

Responsibilities Of This SEN Teacher Role

  • Lead and manage a classroom, taking responsibility for the day-to-day organisation, routines, behaviour and learning environment.
  • Deliver engaging, differentiated and inclusive lessons to pupils with SEN and additional needs.
  • Support pupils' academic, social and emotional development through personalised strategies and targeted interventions.
  • Work closely with the SENCo, class teachers and support staff to ensure effective provision for pupils with SEN.
  • Build strong, professional relationships with parents and carers, communicating confidently about pupil progress, behaviour, needs and support strategies.
  • Monitor pupil progress and contribute to assessments, intervention planning and individual support plans.
  • Assist the SENCo with SEN provision, meetings, administration and wider responsibilities across the school.
  • Promote a positive, inclusive and supportive environment, modelling excellent practice and sharing effective SEN strategies with colleagues.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
