Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Norton College, Tewkesbury, GL20 8UQ
Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday–Friday | 8:30am - 4:00pm
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)
Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only
Start: October 2026

Working in a supportive and collaborative environment, you'll deliver personalised teaching, nurture positive relationships, and help pupils achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.
What You'll Be Doing
- Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that meet individual learning needs.
- Adapting teaching approaches to support pupils with a range of SEN, including Autism, learning difficulties and complex needs.
- Monitoring, assessing and celebrating pupil progress, ensuring every learner reaches their potential.
- Developing and reviewing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour support strategies.
- Creating a safe, structured and inclusive classroom environment where pupils feel valued and supported.
- Working closely with colleagues, families and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.

About You
- Qualified with QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant degree required.
- Passionate about SEND education and committed to helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
- Experienced in supporting children and young people with additional needs, including Autism and complex learning profiles.
- Patient, resilient and nurturing, with the ability to build positive, trusting relationships.
- Creative and adaptable, able to tailor learning to suit individual strengths and needs.
- A strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Norton College is a specialist school with in Tewkesbury, supporting young people aged 11–19 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Autism and complex learning needs.
