Full Time SEN Teacher
Our client, a reputable educational institution in Harrow, London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full Time SEN Teacher to join their dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to providing exceptional support and learning experiences for students with special educational needs.
As a Full Time SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for developing and implementing tailored educational programmes that cater to the unique needs of each student. Working closely with our multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate to create individualised learning plans, foster positive and inclusive classroom environments, and ensure the overall academic, social, and emotional well-being of your students.
In This Role, You Will Be Responsible For
- Assessing students' needs, strengths, and learning styles to develop personalised educational plans
- Implementing engaging and varied teaching strategies to support students' academic, social, and emotional development
- Collaborating with parents, caregivers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to student support
- Maintaining detailed records, monitoring progress, and regularly reviewing and adjusting learning plans
- Providing a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes student well-being and self-confidence
- Participating in professional development opportunities to stay abreast of the latest trends and best practices in SEN education
- Adhering to all school policies, procedures, and safeguarding guidelines to ensure the safety and well-being of students

To Be Successful In This Role, You Will Possess
- A bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, with a specialism in Special Educational Needs
- A recognised teaching qualification, such as a PGCE or QTS
- Extensive experience (3+ years) working as a SEN Teacher in a primary or secondary school setting
- A deep understanding of the SEN Code of Practice, relevant legislation, and best practices in SEN education
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively
- A passion for making a positive difference in the lives of students with special educational needs
