Randstad Education Leeds assists SEN primary teachers in finding long-term opportunities across South Yorkshire. Located in Barnsley, this primary setting places pupil well-being and adaptive learning at the core of its ethos. The school provides progress units, sensory spaces, generous planning time, and dedicated support teams to help SEN teachers excel.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Design and deliver tailored primary learning programs for pupils with complex sensory and educational needs.
- Collaborate with the SENDCo and external specialists to fulfill EHCP outcomes effectively.
- Guide, deploy, and mentor classroom support staff to ensure safe, inclusive learning spaces.
- Use positive behaviour management and low-arousal strategies to maintain an encouraging workspace.
- Build strong, trusted connections with parents and carers through regular feedback.

Requirements for the Role
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent UK recognised teaching qualification with SEN focus.
- Proven track record teaching primary pupils with complex educational or behavioural needs.
- Excellent knowledge of adaptive teaching strategies, EHCP tracking, and safeguarding standards.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to process one).
- Strong collaborative, organisational, and communication abilities.
