Full Job Description

We put wellbeing first by giving our teams more time to recharge.

Position: SEN Teacher

Location: Tilewood School – Buckinghamshire, MK18 5AN

Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience, not pro rata)

Hours: 40 hours per week | Monday to Friday

Contract: Permanent | Term time only

UK Applicants only. This role does not offer sponsorship.

About The Role

This is your opportunity to be part of something truly extraordinary. Join the founding team at Tilewood School, a brand-new specialist school in Buckinghamshire, and help shape a school where every young person is given the opportunity to thrive from day one.

We’re looking for an exceptional and passionate SEN Teacher who believes that education has the power to transform lives. As one of our founding teachers, you won’t simply be stepping into a role — you’ll help shape our culture, curriculum and ethos, creating an environment where pupils feel understood, valued and inspired to achieve their potential.

You’ll work with children and young people with Autism and additional needs, delivering creative, personalised and meaningful learning experiences that build confidence, independence and a genuine love of learning. You’ll get to know each pupil as an individual, celebrating their strengths, recognising their progress and helping them discover what they can achieve.

This is a role for someone who is creative, ambitious, resilient and deeply committed to making a difference. Someone who sees possibilities rather than limitations and understands that, with the right support, every young person can achieve extraordinary things.

As a founding member of our team, your influence will go far beyond the classroom. You’ll help build something that lasts, a school, a community and a brighter future for the pupils who walk through our doors.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Plan and deliver engaging, personalised lessons for individuals and small groups, tailored to pupils' individual needs.
  • Create, review and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Behaviour Plans and personalised learning programmes.
  • Monitor, assess and celebrate pupil progress, maintaining accurate records and identifying next steps.
  • Foster a safe, inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence and achievement.
  • Support pupils' emotional wellbeing, behaviour and personal development using nurturing and therapeutic approaches.
  • Work collaboratively with Learning Support Assistants, therapists, families and the wider multidisciplinary team.
  • Contribute to curriculum development, whole-school improvement and the continued growth of our brand-new school.
  • Safeguard and promote the welfare of every pupil, ensuring the highest standards of care, wellbeing and inclusion.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
