Salary: £41,000 per annum (not pro rata) + Travel allowance

Contract: Permanent | Term Time Only

Start: September 2026

About The Role

As an SEN Teacher, you’ll create an engaging, inclusive classroom where every pupil feels safe, valued and motivated to learn. You’ll plan and deliver creative, individualised lessons, and work alongside teaching assistants, therapists, families and the wider school team to support pupils’ academic progress as well as their social and emotional development.

You’ll also have the opportunity to take on Form Tutor responsibilities, guiding a small team around your pupils to ensure they receive the personalised support they need to succeed.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Deliver creative, engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with SEN and SEMH.
  • Create a positive, nurturing classroom environment that promotes confidence, independence and outstanding behaviour.
  • Assess, monitor and track progress, using information to shape planning and interventions.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, therapists and families to achieve the best outcomes for every pupil.
  • Support social, emotional and personal development while promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing.
  • Contribute to the wider life of the school, including pastoral support, EHCP reviews, parent communication and ongoing improvement.

What You’ll Bring

  • QTS/QTLS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.
  • The ability to build strong relationships with pupils, families and colleagues and work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Resilience, adaptability and calm confidence, with strong behaviour management and de-escalation skills.
  • Experience in SEN, SEMH or specialist education is desirable, but not essential—your teaching ability and commitment are what matter most.
  • Driving licence required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
