Position: SEN Teacher

Start Date: September 2026

Salary: £140-£170 per day DOE

Are you a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity where you can make a genuine difference every day?

Cover People are working in partnership with a specialist school in Trafford to recruit an enthusiastic SEN Teacher for September 2026. The school supports children with a wide range of complex learning needs and disabilities, providing a nurturing, communication-focused environment where every pupil is encouraged to develop independence, confidence, and essential life skills. The school's child-centred approach, inclusive ethos, and strong multi-disciplinary team create an exceptional setting for both pupils and staff.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN Teacher or a Primary Teacher looking to transition into specialist education with the support of an experienced leadership team.

The Role

  • Plan and deliver creative, highly differentiated lessons tailored to individual EHCP outcomes
  • Create a safe, engaging, and nurturing classroom environment where every child can thrive
  • Use a range of communication strategies, including visual supports and alternative communication methods where appropriate
  • Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, families, and external professionals to provide a holistic approach to learning
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet individual needs
  • Promote pupils' independence, communication, and personal development alongside academic achievement

We're Looking For

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching pupils with SEND, or a strong interest in developing a career within specialist education
  • A patient, compassionate, and resilient approach
  • Excellent classroom management and behaviour support skills
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities
  • A genuine commitment to helping every child achieve their full potential
