About the Role
Our client, a highly regarded educational institution in Sutton, London, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dynamic team. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the education and wellbeing of students with special educational needs (SEN) in a supportive and inclusive environment.
As a Full-time SEN Teaching Assistant, you will have the chance to work alongside our talented team of educators, therapists, and support staff. Situated in the heart of Sutton, London, our client provides a nurturing and enriching learning experience for students with a wide range of SEN, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with special educational needs
- Assist in the implementation of personalised learning programmes and behaviour management strategies
- Facilitate engaging and age-appropriate activities to promote academic, social, and emotional development
- Support students with daily routines and personal care tasks, as needed
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to ensure the holistic needs of each student are met
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to student progress and support
- Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge

Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with students with special educational needs
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to meet the changing needs of the students
- Commitment to promoting inclusion, diversity, and equity in the classroom
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Relevant qualifications or training in SEN, teaching, or child development (desirable)

Salary
The salary for this position ranges from £108.68 to £120 per day, commensurate with your experience and qualifications. This job is being advertised on Senploy - the UK's favourite education and SEND job board.
