SEN Teaching Assistant 1:1 Autism Support Reception Kilburn
SEN Teaching Assistant Full-Time
September 2026 - July 2027
Location: Kilburn, North West London
Pay: GBP 90 - GBP 110 per day
Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30am - 4:00pm
Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding full-time role in a welcoming primary school? A vibrant and inclusive mainstream primary school in Kilburn is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Reception pupil with Autism (ASD) from September 2026 through to July 2027.
This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and proactive Teaching Assistant who is passionate about helping young children with additional needs thrive both academically and socially.
The Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant, You Will
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a child in Reception (EYFS) with Autism (ASD)
- Build a positive, trusting relationship that encourages confidence and independence
- Support communication, emotional regulation and classroom engagement
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver tailored learning strategies
- Adapt activities to meet the child's individual needs while encouraging inclusion within the classroom
- Monitor progress and celebrate every achievement along the way

What We're Looking For
We're Looking For a Teaching Assistant Who Has
- At least 1 year's experience supporting children with SEN or complex additional needs
- Previous experience in a primary school, nursery, tuition, or similar child-focused setting
- A patient, nurturing, and resilient approach
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
- A genuine passion for supporting children with Autism and helping them reach their potential
