SEN Teaching Assistant: Alternative Provision, Romford

Immediate Start: A GBP 14.24 per hour

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)? An exciting opportunity has become available for an enthusiastic and committed SEN Teaching Assistant to join a mainstream primary school in the Lea Havering, Romford area, working within their alternative provision.

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be supporting ASD students across both KS1 and KS2, helping pupils access learning, develop their confidence and thrive within the school environment.

The Role

  • SEN Teaching Assistant position within a mainstream primary school's alternative provision
  • Supporting pupils with ASD across KS1 and KS2
  • Immediate start available
  • A GBP 14.24 per hour
  • Based in the Lea Havering / Romford area
  • Working closely with teachers and the wider SEN team
  • Providing tailored support to meet individual learning and behavioural needs

About You

  • Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant is highly desirable
  • Essential: proven experience supporting children or young people with ASD
  • Patient, caring, and resilient approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Able to build positive and trusting relationships with children
