Randstad Education provides specialist guidance to help SEND support staff secure roles in schools that align with their experience. Located in East Bradford (BD3), this primary school is known for its focused SEND provision and nurture groups. The setting includes dedicated sensory areas and works with an interdisciplinary team to support children with varied learning needs.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a pupil with complex needs such as Autism (ASD) or ADHD.
- Implement structured individual education and behaviour plans in partnership with the SENDCo.
- Assist in adapting classroom resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging.
- Support emotional regulation and promote pupil independence through praise and structured routines.
- Monitor student engagement and provide detailed progress notes to the class teacher.

Requirements for the Role
- Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), in care or school settings.
- A patient, warm, and highly resilient personality capable of dealing with varied learning needs.
- Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).
- An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to undergo a check).
- Strong team player skills with a proactive approach to daily school life.
