SEN Teaching Assistant – ASD – Greenwich
Location: Greenwich, South East London
Salary: £90–£100 per day
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start Date: 8 September 2026
Transparency Education is looking for a caring and dependable SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with autism within a Greenwich primary setting.
The successful applicant will understand the importance of predictability, communication, and building trust when supporting pupils with ASD.
What will the role involve?
You will:
- Support pupils individually and within the classroom.
- Adapt learning tasks to make them accessible.
- Use structured routines and visual resources where appropriate.
- Encourage communication and social interaction.
- Support pupils experiencing sensory or emotional dysregulation.
- Work closely with teachers and the SENCO.
- Help children develop independence and confidence.
- Monitor and communicate pupil progress.

We would like to hear from you if you have:
- Previous ASD or SEND experience.
- Experience working in a UK school or similar educational setting.
- A patient and attentive manner.
- The ability to follow individual support plans.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- A genuine interest in inclusive education.
- Additional training in autism, communication approaches, or SEND would be beneficial.
