The school provides modern sensory resources, structured learning environments, and a supportive team framework where support staff are truly valued.

Key Roles and Responsibilities

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for pupils with diverse needs, including Autism (ASD), ADHD, or SEMH.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) in close collaboration with the class teacher and SENDCo.
  • Assist in adapting classroom resources and sensory tools to make learning fully accessible.
  • Support emotional regulation, social communication, and confidence through positive reinforcement.
  • Assist with pupil supervision during movement transitions, break times, and sensory breaks.

Requirements for the Role

  • Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND) in school or care settings.
  • A patient, warm, and highly adaptable approach to managing varied sensory and behavioral needs.
  • Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English Language and Mathematics).
  • A valid Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness for one).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a proactive, collaborative approach to teamwork.
