SEN Teaching Assistant East London Waltham Forest

Reeson Education is inviting compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant professionals to join our talent pool for upcoming school and specialist provision roles across East London, with a focus on Waltham Forest.

Once registered as an SEN Teaching Assistant, you can be put forward for suitable full:time and long:term opportunities as they come in across Walthamstow, Leyton, Leytonstone and Chingford.

Responsibilities Of An SEN Teaching Assistant

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide consistent 1:1 and small:group support while responding sensitively to each pupils individual profile.

  • Follow support strategies and EHCP targets
  • Break activities into accessible steps
  • Encourage communication, participation and independence
  • Support emotional regulation and positive behaviour
  • Share observations with teachers, the SENCO and other professionals

Requirements For An SEN Teaching Assistant

A strong SEN Teaching Assistant will be patient, observant and able to build trusting relationships. Previous school or care experience is useful, although relevant transferable experience supporting children or vulnerable people will also be considered.
