Teaching Assistant (Level 2 / Level 3)
GBP25,185 : GBP25,583 FTE (approx. GBP21,697 : GBP22,040 pro:rata) (L2) or GBP25,584 : GBP27,269 FTE (approx. GBP22,041 : GBP23,493 pro:rata) (L3)
Join a supportive, holistic team delivering high-quality education to a class of 8-10 pupils with Autism Spectrum Condition. Working alongside specialist teachers and therapists, you will create a safe, nurturing environment focused on social-emotional wellbeing, communication, and fulfilling each pupil's Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
Key Responsibilities
Classroom and Pupil Support
- Deliver direct support to individuals or small groups, adapting lessons and learning approaches to meet EHCP targets.
- Promote positive social interactions, inclusion, high standards of behaviour, and attendance.
- Assist with emotional, physical, and medical care, including lunch duty supervision and First Aid administration.
- (Level 3) Plan, arrange, and deliver specialized learning activities for small groups.

Teacher and Operational Support
- Prepare classroom environments, resources, displays, and manage day-to-day administrative tasks.
- Record pupil progress, contribute to target setting, planning, and evaluation.
- Maintain a clean, safe learning environment in line with Health and Safety regulations.
- (Level 3) Provide detailed feedback on learning activities to support school review processes.

Community, Culture and Safeguarding
- Embody school values, foster family participation, and support school events.
- Maintain strict safeguarding standards, pupil welfare, and medical/child protection protocols.
- Uphold a Humans first, professional second culture, engaging in CPD, team collaboration, and out-of-hours governance/school meetings as required.
- (Level 2/3) Support or mentor fellow Teaching Assistants in their professional development.
To be successful in your application, you will have minimum Level 2 qualification and previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant in either a mainstream or SEN setting.
