GBP90-GBP110 per day

Hours

Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:00pm

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role where you can make a genuine difference every day? A welcoming mainstream primary school in East Dulwich is looking to appoint a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and challenging behaviour.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a resilient and compassionate Teaching Assistant who can build positive relationships, encourage engagement and help a child achieve their full potential in the classroom.

The Role

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, You Will

  • Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and behavioural needs
  • Build a consistent, positive relationship to support emotional regulation and engagement
  • Implement behaviour strategies in line with the schools approach and individual support plans
  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to adapt learning and provide targeted support
  • Encourage positive social interactions, independence and confidence throughout the school day
  • Monitor progress and celebrate successes, both academically and personally

What We're Looking For

We're Looking For a Teaching Assistant Who Has

  • At least 1 year's experience supporting children with SEN or additional behavioural needs
  • Experience working with children with ADHD, challenging behaviour or social, emotional and mental health needs
  • Previous experience in a primary school, tuition, youth work or another child-focused setting
  • A calm, patient and resilient approach, with strong behaviour management skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children overcome barriers to learning
