Pay: £15.45-£16.53 per hour

Start Date: 1st September

A welcoming primary setting in Morden is looking for a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a 7-year-old pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).

There is no personal care involved, but you must feel confident supporting a young child who benefits from structure, reassurance, and a calm, steady presence throughout the school day.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building meaningful relationships and understands that children thrive when they feel safe, understood, and supported.

About The Role

You will work closely with one pupil across lessons, transitions, outdoor learning, and social times. Your focus will be helping them access learning, communicate effectively, manage emotions, and develop confidence in daily routines. You'll work alongside the class teacher and SENDCo to ensure support is consistent, personalised, and encouraging.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Provide reliable, nurturing 1:1 support
  • Build a warm, trusting relationship with the pupil
  • Support learning in class, outdoors, and during creative activities
  • Encourage communication, independence, and positive peer interaction
  • Help with routines, transitions, and emotional regulation
  • Follow strategies outlined in the pupil's support plan
  • Share observations with teachers and the SENDCo
  • Contribute to a calm, inclusive learning environment

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
