Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide dedicated 1:1 support to a primary pupil with complex needs, such as ASD, ADHD, or SEMH.
- Implement structured individual education and behavior plans in partnership with the SENDCo.
- Assist in adapting classroom resources and activities to make learning accessible and engaging.
- Support emotional regulation and promote pupil independence through structured routines and praise.
- Record student progress observations and report insights directly to the teaching team.
Requirements for the Role
- Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs (SEND), in care or school settings.
- A patient, warm, and highly resilient personality capable of managing varied learning needs.
- Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).
- An Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to undergo a check).
- Strong team player skills with a proactive approach to daily school life.
