About the Role
Randstad Education Leeds connects SEND support staff with long-term opportunities across the network in South Yorkshire. Operating across Sheffield, Rotherham, and Doncaster, primary academies focus on inclusive education, offering structured support networks, sensory spaces, and dedicated SENDCos to assist classroom support staff in delivering outstanding care.

- Provide dedicated 1:1 or small-group support to primary pupils with ASD, ADHD, or SEMH needs.
- Implement individual education plan (IEP) targets in close collaboration with the SENDCo.
- Adapt learning materials and sensory activities to make the curriculum fully accessible.
- Foster emotional regulation, resilience, and self-confidence through positive encouragement.
- Supervise pupils during sensory breaks, lesson transitions, and outdoor play.
Requirements for the Role
- Practical experience supporting children with special educational needs in school or care settings.
- A compassionate, patient, and highly adaptable approach to managing sensory requirements.
- Good foundational qualifications (GCSE Grade C/4 or above in English and Mathematics).
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or readiness to process one).
- Strong communication and team-working capabilities.
