EdEx are working with a fantastic specialist SEN school in Redbridge who are looking to appoint several SEN Teaching Assistants on a full-time, long-term basis.

This is not a mainstream school role. You will be working exclusively with pupils with Special Educational Needs, which may include Autism, learning difficulties, communication needs, developmental delays and complex additional needs.

What experience will you need to do this SEN Teaching Assistant - Specialist SEN School role?

  • Previous experience supporting children, young people or adults is desirable
  • SEN, care, support work, youth work or school experience is advantageous
  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs
  • Patient, resilient and nurturing personality
  • Confident working within a specialist SEN environment
  • Must be able to commit Monday-Friday on a long-term basis
