SEN Teaching Assistant in the ASD Unit with SEND Experience
Grade 5, part-time scale 5 (31 hours)
Monday to Friday: 8.30am to 3.30pm

We are looking for someone who:
- has a good understanding of effective SEND practices and is prepared to reflect and develop;
- has an understanding of inclusive education and adaptive teaching (differentiation) strategies;
- is caring, kind, and hard-working;
- places building positive relationships at the heart of what they do, providing encouragement and reassurance;
- has knowledge of (or an interest in learning about) emotion coaching techniques to support development of emotional literacy and regulation skills;
- has an awareness of when to'step in or step out' to help the child to develop their own capacity to learn;
- is able to support social communication skills;
- demonstrates high standards and expectations of themselves and the children;
- shows enthusiasm and creativity to inspire our children to love learning;
- has excellent interpersonal skills and is a strong team player; and
- is willing to embrace and promote the school’s Christian ethos and values
