- Provide 1:1 behavioral and sensory support to a primary pupil with additional needs (including ADHD and SLCN).
- Work in partnership with the class teacher and SENDCo to deliver structured learning targets.
- Utilize visual schedules, communication aids, and sensory breaks to keep pupils calm and engaged.
- Support emotional well-being by building a low-arousal, safe, and encouraging classroom space.
- Maintain accurate, gentle daily logs regarding pupil progress and behavioral milestones.
Requirements for the Role
- Prior experience supporting children with special educational needs or complex learning profiles.
- A calm, intuitive, and patient demeanor capable of adapting quickly to changing needs.
- GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or equivalent.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
- Strong collaborative skills to work alongside external therapists and school staff.
