Are you a caring, patient and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs?
Supply Tree Recruitment is seeking a full-time SEN Teaching Assistant to work within a welcoming and inclusive primary school in West Dorset. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in the educational journey of children who require additional support to reach their full potential.
As An SEN Teaching Assistant, You Will
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs.
- Assist children with a range of SEND, including ASD, ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional and mental health needs.
- Support the class teacher in creating an inclusive and engaging learning environment.
- Build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Encourage independence, confidence and personal development.

We Are Looking For Someone Who
- Has experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or school setting.
- Is patient, nurturing and adaptable.
- Has excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Is committed to helping every child succeed.
- Holds a relevant Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent experience (desirable but not essential).

Keeping Children Safe in Education
Supply Tree will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not be on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
