About The Role
Teach South seeks an SEN Teaching Assistant in Brighton to support pupils with special educational needs across various educational settings. This flexible hours contract offers £85 to £95 daily. The successful candidate provides one-to-one and small group assistance, helping students with learning and development. Duties include fostering a safe, inclusive environment and addressing emotional, social, and behavioural requirements. We are currently recruiting experienced SEN Teaching Assistants to support children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) across a range of educational settings.
We are looking for caring, patient, and enthusiastic individuals who have previous experience supporting people with additional needs, whether in a school, childcare, nursery, residential, or adult care setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting pupils with special educational needs in their learning and development.
- Providing one-to-one and small group support where required.
- Helping to create a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment.
- Supporting pupils with emotional, social, and behavioural needs.
- Working closely with teachers, support staff, and other professionals.

Requirements
- Previous experience working with SEN individuals in either an adult care or childcare setting.
- A patient, caring, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting individuals with additional needs.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one.
