SEN Tutor – Alternative Provision
Location: Weston-super-Mare and surrounding areas
Role: 1:1 Tuition & Support
Subjects: English, Maths & Science
Quantum Scholars are seeking dedicated and experienced SEN Tutors to provide 1:1 support and tuition to young people accessing Alternative Provision in Weston-super-Mare and the surrounding areas.
We are particularly interested in hearing from tutors who are confident delivering English, Maths and/or Science, and who have experience supporting young people with SEND and additional needs.
About The Role
As a SEN Tutor, you will provide tailored 1:1 support to young people who may be accessing education outside of a mainstream school setting. You will work closely with each learner to build a positive relationship, encourage engagement and support their academic, social and emotional development.
Quantum Scholars has been approved onto Somerset Council’s Alternative Provision Framework, meaning we receive consistent referrals for tuition and support across Somerset.

We Are Looking For Tutors Who
- Have experience working with SEN/SEND learners
- Are confident delivering English, Maths and/or Science
- Have experience working within Alternative Provision, EOTAS, schools or similar settings
- Can build positive and trusting relationships with young people
- Are patient, understanding and adaptable in their approach
- Can tailor learning to meet individual needs and abilities
- Hold or are willing to obtain an Enhanced DBS
- Have the right to work in the UK
