Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and making a real difference through personalised learning?
Academics are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education provider for dedicated SEN Tutors to support children and young people across Wellingborough. This rewarding role involves delivering tailored tuition within home and community settings to learners who are unable to access mainstream education due to a range of additional needs.
Assignments can vary from short-term interventions to long-term placements, offering flexibility alongside the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with learners and families.
The Role
- Deliver personalised tuition to children with a range of Special Educational Needs.
- Support learners within home and community settings.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet individual learning styles and needs.
- Build positive, supportive relationships that encourage confidence and engagement.
- Maintain accurate records of progress and communicate effectively with the wider team.

Requirements
- Previous experience supporting children or young people is preferred but not essential.
- A good understanding of Special Educational Needs is desirable.
- Knowledge or experience of supporting pupils with EBSA (Emotionally Based School Avoidance) would be advantageous.
- Strong English and Maths skills.
- Access to your own vehicle and a full UK driving licence is essential due to travel between learners.
- A patient, adaptable and compassionate approach.
