About the Role
LINQ Education is currently supporting a specialist SEN school in Croydon that is seeking an experienced and dedicated SENCO to join their team on a contract basis.
The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) including Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SEN professional looking to make a meaningful impact within a specialist educational setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the provision for pupils with Special Educational Needs.
- Work closely with teaching staff and support teams to develop and implement effective interventions and strategies.
- Monitor, track and evaluate the progress of pupils with additional needs.
- Ensure EHCPs are effectively implemented and reviewed.
- Liaise with parents, carers, local authorities and external professionals to support pupil outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to staff on best practices in SEN provision.
- Contribute to the school's inclusive approach to teaching and learning.

Essential Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or equivalent SENCO qualification.
- Strong knowledge of SEND legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff, families and external agencies.

Desirable Experience
- Previous experience working as a SENCO within a specialist or mainstream setting.
- Experience managing and reviewing EHCPs.
