The Successful Candidate Should Be Both An Outstanding Teacher And An Experienced SENCo, Who Is Looking For a New Challenge And An Exciting Opportunity To Develop Effective Practice, Whilst Continuing To Promote Our Culture Of Inclusiveness Throughout The School Community. They Must Have Energy, Commitment, An Enduring Passion For SEN And High Expectations For All Pupils. Specifically, They

• have an excellent knowledge of SEN in a primary school;
• can play a key role by ensuring that all pupils with additional needs make accelerated progress and achieve to the best of their ability;
• will contribute to and implement strategic plans for the provision of pupils with EHCPs;
• will lead CPD for staff and workshops for parents;
• can provide leadership and direction to a large staff team by providing guidance and support that ensures high quality teaching, and effective use of support and resources;
• have exceptional knowledge of effective adaptations across the primary phase;
• will professionally liaise with outside agencies/specialists to help achieve the best outcomes for pupils;
• is a team player, has a positive outlook and a sense of humour;
• will contribute to the wider life of the school;
• hold the National Award for SEN Co-ordinators or the NPQ for SENCos.
