SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)📍 Redditch📅 September Start
Hays Education is working with a welcoming and inclusive secondary school in Redditch to recruit an experienced SENCO to join their team from September. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate SEND professional to take a leading role in shaping provision for students with additional needs, ensuring all pupils receive the support and opportunities required to achieve their full potential.
The Role
You will work closely with senior leaders, teaching staff, parents, and external agencies to coordinate and develop SEND provision across the school. The successful candidate will play a key role in promoting inclusion, raising achievement, and supporting the wider school community.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school.
- Coordinate EHCPs, annual reviews, and intervention programmes.
- Monitor the progress and attainment of SEND pupils.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support high-quality inclusive teaching.
- Liaise with parents, carers, and external agencies to secure positive outcomes.
- Provide guidance and support to teaching and support staff.
- Maintain accurate SEND records and provision mapping.
- Contribute to whole-school improvement and inclusion strategies.

The Successful Candidate Will Have
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Previous experience as a SENCO or in a SEND leadership role.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and statutory processes.
- Experience managing EHCPs and working with external services.
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting students with additional needs.
