About this Role
The Albion Academy is one of the most rapidly improving schools in Salford with a supportive and communal staff. Rated as good in all areas by OFSTED (July 2023). It is part of a cluster of four United Learning schools in Salford.
We are looking to recruit a SEND administrator to provide a strong administration service to the SEND team to support the student, care givers, and stakeholders.
The successful candidate will be experienced in the following areas:
- Minute taking and the timely circulation thereof for parental meetings, external agencies, or SEND meetings.
- Liaison with third parties such as primary schools, further education establishments, parents, stakeholders, governors, etc.
- Assist with the Year 7 administration process working alongside the transition and data teams to ensure a smooth transition for all SEND students.
- Update confidential records/notes on the academy MIS systems.
- Keep up-to-date records of pupils including interventions and work with external agencies.
- Provide administrative support as appropriate, including preparing statements, individual student plans, dietary management, meeting bookings, and additional reports.
- Organise invitations to annual reviews and other meetings, taking minutes.
- To ensure all staff are aware of the ongoing daily needs of pupils with long-term medical conditions.
- Assist the SENCO/Examination Officer with access arrangements for pupils with special educational needs.
- To assist with ensuring the SEND register is kept accurate and up-to-date and that staff are informed of pupils' special educational needs.
- Notify parents of any changes to SEND status regarding their child.
- Gather parental voice information.
- Work with the SENCO and other staff to ensure Individual Student Plans are used to set subject-specific targets and reviewed regularly.
- To quality assure individual student plans before they are made available to staff – ensuring they are updated twice per year, and copies are circulated to parents.
- Liaise with relevant outside agencies to ensure that individual pupils' special educational needs are met effectively and that the requirements of statements of SEND are met.

Additional Duties/Information:
- To play a full part in the life of the school community, to support its mission, vision, and values, and to encourage staff and learners to follow this example.
- Undertake supervisory duties at break, lunchtime, and after school but as a visible leader of staff and pupils in this work.
