Rutland County Council is seeking enthusiastic, talented, and committed professionals to join our growing SEND and Inclusion team as we deliver an ambitious programme of local and national SEND reforms.
This is a unique opportunity to help shape a more inclusive education system that puts children, young people, and families at the heart of everything we do. Our SEND Reform Programme is focused on strengthening inclusion in mainstream education, improving partnership working across education, health, and care, embedding co-production with families, and ensuring children and young people receive the right support at the right time.
This is a varied role supporting reform projects, service development, data analysis, performance monitoring, and operational delivery. You will play a key role in helping the Local Authority implement reform priorities while supporting effective and efficient SEND services.
About The Role
You will coordinate and administer a range of statutory SEND processes, including Education, Health, and Care Needs Assessments, EHCP administration, annual reviews, school consultations, and tribunal activity, ensuring legal timescales and quality standards are met. The role will take the lead on developing and maintaining robust tracking, reporting, and performance monitoring systems, providing accurate data and management information to support service improvement and statutory reporting requirements.

You will also play an important role in supporting SEND panels, contracts, and placement processes, maintaining accurate records on Liquid Logic and other business systems, coordinating documentation and workflows, and ensuring decisions are implemented efficiently. Alongside supporting SEND transformation projects and improvement initiatives, you will help ensure that service processes are well organised, compliant, customer-focused, and contribute to the effective delivery of high-quality SEND services.
Additional Requirements
The successful candidate will be required to undertake a standard Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check. Costs for the DBS are covered by Rutland County Council.
