Permanent HLTA - Specialist Education Setting

Location: Greater Manchester

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:15am-4:00pm, term time only

Contract: Permanent

Start Date: ASAP / October 2026

The Education Specialists are recruiting on behalf of a specialist education setting in Greater Manchester for an experienced and committed Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join their team on a permanent basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HLTA, Senior Teaching Assistant, LSA or experienced SEN TA who is looking to take the next step in their career within a specialist setting.

The Role

As a HLTA, you will play a key role in supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, SEMH and complex learning needs, working closely with teachers and the wider support team.

You will have opportunities to lead learning activities, provide targeted 1:1 and small-group support, and contribute to the development of pupils' academic, social and emotional skills.

Experience supporting pupils with SEMH, Autism, ADHD and challenging behaviour would be highly desirable.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
