SEND Learning Support Assistant - Long-Term Role (September Start)
West Drayton
£14.63 - £16.53 per hour
Full-time, 5 days per week
A highly inclusive and forward-thinking specialist setting in West Drayton is seeking a committed SEND Learning Support Assistant to join their team from September. This is a long-term role, working Monday to Friday, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs in a nurturing, structured environment.
About The School
This is a well-resourced, specialist provision with a strong therapeutic ethos. The senior leadership team is supportive, hands-on and deeply invested in staff development. Pupils present with a variety of needs including ASC, SLD, communication difficulties and sensory processing differences, and the school prides itself on creating a safe, calm and consistent environment where every child can thrive.

- Providing 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with SEND
- Assisting with communication, emotional regulation and sensory strategies
- Using tools such as visual timetables, now/next boards and personalised learning resources
- Supporting pupils through structured routines, transitions and behaviour plans
- Working closely with teachers, therapists and the wider SEND team
- Contributing to a positive, encouraging and inclusive classroom environment
- Helping pupils build confidence, independence and engagement in learning
What You'll Need
- Genuine passion and enthusiasm for working with autism and complex needs
- Previous SEND experience or relevant background (psychology, sports, youth work)
- DBS on the Update Service
- Reliability, resilience and a calm, caring approach
