Quantum Scholars is looking for a dedicated, patient and experienced SEND Maths Tutor to provide tailored one-to-one support to a student in Somerset. This is an in-person tutoring role, supporting a young person who requires a personalised approach to their education outside of a traditional classroom setting.
The successful tutor will be responsible for delivering engaging and accessible Maths sessions that are adapted to the student's individual learning needs, abilities and interests. The role will require someone who is confident working with pupils who may have additional learning needs and who can create a calm, supportive and encouraging learning environment.
The tutor will work closely with the student's existing education team and, where appropriate, parents or carers to help establish clear learning goals and monitor progress. Sessions should be structured but flexible, allowing the tutor to respond to the student's needs on a lesson-by-lesson basis while continuing to work towards meaningful academic and personal outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
