SEND Humanities Teacher

Location: Bridgwater

Pay: £168.00 – £261.00 per day

Type: Maternity Cover Contract

Hours: Full-time

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching History across Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Ideally, experience working within a Special Educational Needs (SEN) setting, or a genuine willingness to support pupils with a range of additional needs.
  • A nurturing, patient, and inclusive approach to teaching, with the ability to build positive relationships and foster pupil confidence.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills, adapting teaching strategies to meet individual learning needs and ensure all pupils can access the curriculum.
  • The ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated History lessons that inspire and support learners of varying abilities.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills, working effectively with colleagues, support staff, families, and external professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.
  • Availability to work full-time from as soon as possible, with flexibility to provide cover through October half term and potentially until Christmas.
