SEND Teacher: Small SEN Provision Acton
Reeson Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated and experienced SEND Teacher to join a welcoming school in Acton, West London, working within a small and highly supportive nurture provision.
The successful teacher will work with a class of just six pupils with complex additional needs, supported by two experienced Teaching Assistants. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about creating a calm, structured and nurturing learning environment where pupils can feel safe, build confidence and make meaningful progress.
The Role
As the SEND Teacher, you will take responsibility for the planning, delivery and assessment of learning for a small group of pupils with a range of complex needs. You will work closely with the two TAs in the room and collaborate with the wider school and specialist professionals to ensure that each pupil receives the appropriate support.
The role will suit someone who understands that progress in a nurture setting can look different for every child and who is able to adapt their teaching to meet individual needs.

- Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons appropriate to pupils' individual needs.
- Provide a calm, consistent and nurturing classroom environment.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils and support their social, emotional and academic development.
- Work effectively alongside two Teaching Assistants to provide targeted support.
- Adapt learning and teaching strategies to meet a range of complex SEND needs.
- Monitor, assess and record pupil progress.
- Work collaboratively with parents, carers, the SENCO and external professionals.
- Contribute to individual support plans and wider SEND provision.
- Promote positive behaviour through a consistent, understanding and restorative approach.
- Maintain high expectations while recognising each pupil's individual starting point.
The Ideal Candidate
We Are Looking For a Teacher Who Is
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experienced in, or passionate about, working with pupils with SEND.
- Ideally experienced within a nurture, specialist, SEMH or complex needs setting.
- Patient, resilient and emotionally intelligent.
- Able to build strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
- Confident in adapting the curriculum and using a range of teaching approaches.
- A strong team player who can work effectively with TAs and other professionals.
- Committed to ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed.
