SEND Teaching Assistant - Part Time

Clockwork Education have been approached by a lovely, welcoming school in County Durham to assist them in finding a part time SEND teaching assistant to support them across Key Stage 2.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting a range of children with SEND needs
  • Extra support during lessons
  • Working independently with one child and small groups
  • To use own initiative and take the lead

Requirements

  • Confident and experienced in working with a child on a one to one basis
  • Level 2 Qualification
  • Provide 2 references, preferably from an educational background
  • To hold or put in process an enhanced DBS disclosure

The role is working Monday to Friday (8.3 to start ASAP and will be on an ongoing basis.

The role is to work one to one with SEND children and some group work will be required - the school require someone who is proactive and is happy to lead group sessions.
