Teaching Assistant - KS2 Support

Salary: Grade E depending on experience (£26,847 - £27,709 pro-rata)

Hours of work: 22.5 hours per week

Contract: Temporary (This is a specific purpose contract to cover a pupil with an EHCP. Should the pupil leave the school or the pupil’s EHCP is reduced/removed the post will cease)

We are looking for an experienced, full-time Teaching Assistant to join our wonderful village school, to support a KS2 pupil. You will need to work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo but be able to use your own initiative. Experience of using a trauma informed approach to learning and emotional regulation is desirable.

We invite applications from individuals who:

  • Have a good knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
  • Are willing to learn new skills
  • Are patient, calm, organised and adaptable
  • Work well as part of a team but are also able to use their own initiative
  • Are enthusiastic and can make learning fun
  • Have good communication skills
