SEN Teaching Assistant

TA5 Full-Time
September Start

Long-Term Teachers are working with a Primary School in the TA5 area of Bridgwater who are seeking an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant from September.

This school is a vibrant and inclusive learning community committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and a love for learning in all their pupils. The school is at the heart of a diverse and supportive community, where collaboration and partnerships enrich the educational experience.

The Role

This position is to start in the New Academic Year where you will be expected to work Monday to Friday, Term Time only 8:30 to 3:30.

The Head Teacher is looking for an individual who is positive, a team player, motivational, flexible, creative, and innovative with a supportive nature.

You will be working to resource and adapt planning and support high quality teaching and learning across all subjects. You need to be proactive, energetic, and committed to engaging pupils, developing their desire to learn.

You will be expected to:

  • Work collaboratively with the class teacher to develop activities.
  • Be adaptable to meet the needs of individuals.
  • Work 1:1 with children and sometimes in small groups supporting interventions.
  • Support assessment and evidencing learning.
  • Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
